How to Find Totems in Dead by Daylight (DBD) Mobile?
Keep these points in mind and you’ll be able to find the Totems in no time.
There are 5 totems spawned on the map in different areas, they can only be spawned from a certain range away from each other. Consider it as their Terror radius. Totems can’t be spawned in the same area, the Terror radius can sometimes overlap the other Terror radius but can’t be spawned next to each other. If you don’t wear earphones, please do. Because wearing earphones helps you in finding the totems better. The Hex Totem is the most important Totem, it has burning candles beneath them so sometimes you might hear the sound of skulls cracking and wood-burning and you’ll be able to figure out the spawn location of the totem. Survivor Perks and Add-ons also help you track down the Totems. Perks and add-ons like Small Game – It is also one of the best perks available in the game. It gives you a warning if you’re looking in the direction of the Totem in a 45-degree cone within an 8/10/12 meter radius. There is a cooldown of 14/12/10 seconds after per activation. It also tells you the number of Totems left around you. After every Dull or Hex Totem Cleansed, the degree keeps reducing by 5 degrees. Red Twine – This Add-on helps you locate the Totems better, it enhances the ability of the Map and tracks the belongings of the killer by reading their Auras. Belongings like Totems, Hooks, and also Traps. So be careful, in search of the totems don’t end up being trapped.
There are many more Perks and Add-ons like this to help you find the Totems but these Perks and Add-ons can track only those totems which you have passed by.
The Totems are spawned randomly on the map by the entity but you can just keep playing the maps and get an idea of the usual location, spots, and corners the totems have spawned in past Trials. Mostly check for totems under Jungle Gyms, behind the Rocks, between Tires or near Generators, and also inside the Buildings. And also sometimes in the maps like Farmland Totems are spawned in the open field.
Types of Totems in DBD
There are 2 types of totems, Hex Totem and Dull Totem.
Hex Totems – Hex Totems supports any Hex perks the killer may be using. It is identified by the candles burning beneath the skulls and sometimes you can also hear the crackling sounds of it. Hex perk basically Buffs the power of the killer and also grants favors to De-buff the survivors by putting a curse on them. But this all is only possible until the totems are not Cleansed/destroyed by the survivor. But there can be an exception, if the killer uses the undying Hex Perk, in this case even after the Cleansing of the Hex Totem the perk can be transferred to the Dull Totem and the Dull Totem can be transformed into a new Hex Totem. The killer has a variety of 11 perks he can equip before going to the trial. As a survivor after cleansing the Totem, you get some rewards of 1,000-1,500 Blood Points per totem cleansed. Dull Totems – During the trial if you find mostly the Dull Totems, it means the killer has equipped fewer Hex perks and you’re in luck because the Dull totems are the types of Totems that are not activated, and neither they’re associated with any Hex Perks. But it’s better to cleanse the Dull Totem as soon as you find it because if the killer has used the Undying Hex, then the Dull Totem will take no time in transforming into a new Hex Totem. For the cleansing of Dull Totems, you’ll get a reward of 1,000 Blood Points per Totem cleansed.
Keep this in mind, don’t leave the cleansing of the Totem in the middle or else it will reset and you’ll have to start cleansing it again, and also the powers/ Perks equipped by the killer can’t be identified by the Totem. And also be careful of the Mori used by the killer. This is all you need to know about the Totems and how to get them in Dead by Daylight (DBD) Mobile.
